life's like a rollercoaster

geez, its been a rollercoaster day for me... emotions going up and down like....wheeeee.......plunge.......scream..........argh.......

hehe, get what i mean??

am just an incoherant bunch of cells...

had a mind and nerve racking morning with student services and it was no joke i tell you. had to convince them of something that i believe in and worked hard for..... and now, it's still in the tentative balance and it's killing my sanity no doubt but at least they seemed convinced by yours truly but still...everything is in their hands and i tell you it's not good like that AT ALL...

but i went to the gym to work off some steam and it was awesome... went for this class call body jam and it was really hopping man!!! it's like a combi of dance and aerobics...super choreographed adn it has my fave element - dance!! we did sean paul and miisy elliot and some latin group.... really cool... everyone was like relaxing and dancing away... the atmosphere was so darn high....wheeeee........and teh music was pumping in your ears and you are lije moving to it....it was like theraphy for me man....

sigh......(warm fuzzy feeling in tummy)......niiiiice..............

talk about guys ego....

had japanese food for dinner today and it was yums as usual.. too bad i didn't get to eat my greek food at my fave greek restaurant, stalactites today as it was close.... and i absolutely love their meat platter and the dips are heavenly.... and the good thing is it's open 24 hours a day 7 days a week but it was closed today and yesterday.... melbourne has really good food man... like there's vietnamese restaurants all over the place esp swanston st and there's italian pizza and pasta at lyogn st just 5 mins away from albert house and then there's chinese food at bourke st... that's like chinatown and i still remember the dim sum restaurant that shaleen brought us to.... we had such full tummies after that.... not to mention my all time fave dessert - max brenner's!!! the bald guy with the super delish chocolate and my fave of all faves the belgian waffle!! geez, m drooling thinking about it man....

anyways, jin sern burst into my room and demanded that i record in my blog that the second own goal was actually scored by him... hehe.... guys' ego so darn big!! he wants me to write this:

the own goal is actually scored by him... he was one inch away from teh ball and wanted to kick it in but the other defender accidentally took it away and kicked it in....

geez.... talk about super huge pride....hehe.... see, jin sern, i wrote it in for the world to see....

it's over for goodness sake so let it go ya??? remember to breathe....

and you suck at mystic inn lah... your reflexes are really slow man....

had a great time at dinner today... me and shaleen and janice tan and yi yu had a blast making fun at each other today on the way back from the jap restaurant. it's been quite soem time since i last felt so relaxed.... actually i feel relaxed everyday....heehee... the stress of college....

yaaaay... i'm going back in sept.... can't wait.... i need to get away from it all.....

healthier mel!!! yaaaaay.....

well, mel is on the way to becoming healthier, leaner, fitter, hopefully skinnier too mel!! yaaaay... yea, have thought about joining fitness first gym in QV and i finally did with shaleen and janice with me... and so our healthier lives are startin soon..

and i was even in the mood for healthier shopping and lunch.... had grilled fish for lunch and some veggies... and then at safeway i bought a lot of fresh food...

1) red apples - very snow white-ish...

2) 4 tubs of yoghurt light - i love yoghurt

3) 3 boxes of strawberries - $2.95 per box...and mum says a lot of antioxidants

4) 1 box of blueberries - i just tried a few berries and they are awesome and really sweet....

5) 200g of mini sausages

6) 200g of streaky bacon

7) 1 box of cherry tomatoes - janice influenced me to buy them...she buys like 3 huge big red tomatoes and eats them raw without seasonings or anything else... geez...

8) 1 packet of Babel cheese - the red round cheeses that i always love so much..thank goodness i can find them here...

9) 2 boxes of juices - this time i took Invigorate and Green Zone... full of goodness in nature...

10) 1 box of Arnotts' Tiny Teddy On Safari - thatz the only unhealthy thing in my basket....

my grocery bag was bulging the time i came out of safeway....

yaaaay....F-O-O-D....

the world cup continues... and someone becomes the 3rd cripple in albert house....

well, today was a soccer crazy day for me. lotsa soccer action and plenty of photo opportunities...
albert house had a soccer team and so we, the girls had to take up our cheerleading responsibilities and cheer the guys on... so we went all the way to clifton hills and stayed there till the guys ended the matches. too bad even with so many girls there giving them semangat, they lost 3 out of 4 matches. but the last match, they made a comeback and jonathan scored one goal and then the other team scored one for us. OWN GOAL!!!! yaaaay...

yeah yeah yeah... it wasn't exactly scored by our own albert house guys but hey!! you should always be glad with what you get!! make lemonade out of lemons. make choc out of cocoa beans. whatever they say it. and joel got a broken fibula that he had to get it check out at st vincent's. poor guy.... don't worry joel. we will all be your slaves for the 3 weeks you'll be crippled. and the guys miss you at the match.
yes, here are the guys huddled together after the 4th match. and that's the man of the hour, jonathan in yellow...

yes, that's neo with his super uber funky pose....

and next to him is the captain of albert house team, leslie, a great captain and a great footballer and a really hilarious guy

and the 3rd one is jin sern

all the guys tired out already....and again neo with his trademark pose....sheesh....
and andrew with his butt-that-got-molested-and-was-hurting-like-hell-and-a-1st-aider-had-to-out-ice-on-it.....but this picture was pre-butt-molestation episode.... and molested was not the word i chose to use here.... it was from his own mouth....

and the rest of the guys...

steven the goalie who saved thousands of balls... yay him!!!

and shafiq our cool striker... and that guy in red who pushed shafiq better be careful.....

and not forgetting the girls...

taht's me and janice, fellow mp3 lovers...this was on teh train to clifton hills....i was listening to My Confessiom by Josh Groban and janice was listening to...hmm... i think it was one of her super nice korean tracks or some obscure singer that has super cool vocals...janice, u can get up so early some more... kudos to you...hehe

and janice tan who woke up really early considering she is always late and cannot even wake up for college...and lilian who has really pretty clothes always....fellow train sitters....hehe

and this is the 3 girls who always sleeeeep.....zzzz..... qiqi, shyanne and chris wong... always the sleepyheads....

even on the train also can sleeeeeep....

cannot even wake up at 8am to catch teh train....

we had to wait for them sooooo long loh....

and beng sze and tiana...another 2 who are always sleeeeeeping too.... had to wake tiana up too .... but beng sze look super alert here... coffee anyone???? i think she looks hyper here...like huge sugar rush...

and then we came back and went to hungry jacks for tea and e and qiqi bought a value meal for joel and his crippled leg...poor guy... cannot walk somemore. if we know who kick him, we'll do twice the damage to HIS leg...(evil laugh)....no one messes with albert house people....hehe....

suppose to do my homework now but SOMEONE came in and interrupted my studying...

actually was reading my super nice daniel silva book- the confessor... very dan brown-ish but more action i would think and lotsa talk about assasins and the catholic church....then 2 SOMEONES barged in and started 'serenading' me.....hehe....

then they took over my room and then started jamming RIGHT here in my ROOM!!!

grrrr.....

but i must say the music is GOOD....

hehe....
tomorrow's their audition.....

good luck to them then......

choc addict on the rampage

oooh, went to bridge road this sunday and saw some sweaome clothes for formal night and dressy occasions. but they are pretty expensive, compared to the gown i bought in s'pore. and mine's nicer i think...hehe...

but there are really interesting shops there. saw this organic food stuff shop...actually its more of like a supermarket.. an organice super huge supermarket that sells even organic choc to organic tea and coffee...super cool. thats like MY shop man...its all so cool man...

here's my organic choc which i'm addicted to

green and black's organic choc.... super yummy and totally guilt less treat for myself....

and did i mention that its oh-so-creamy???!! and the milk and four and sugar and cocoa beans are ALL organic!! can u believe that???sigh....

shouldve bought more....

then i went to big W and saw this whole big shelf filled with cadbury's super large size chockies!!

and i bought this one with the mint chips... but it wasn't as good as i thought it would be...being a sucker for mint choc, was kinda dissapointed coz the mint chips in it was too chunky and it was too tangy for my taste.... so m gonna buy the milk choc one next time i go to big W.... coz itz on offer!!! YAAAAY!!!

hehe...

choc sooo rules man....

it makes me happy....

(munching choc now) i'm in heaven now....

UMAT oh UMAT....

just had my umat test today and can i say it really is so darn tough??!!

would just like to rant a bit thatz all...

geez, my brain almost stopped working there and then. the IQ test is a killer man... can't even see the stoopid link for all the pictures, just blindly guess and tikam loh (courtesy of years in the m'sian edu system...hehe) and the logic reasoning is like the ultimate man... they give you a whole BIG CHUNK of writing and they give one short answer that requires you to thrawl through big, big words and mind boggling statistics... my mind is that of an 18 year old, not a super hyper computer that has thousands of MB or GB or whatever you call it to sort through the crap and nonsense and pick out the right information man. well i guess now doctors are like super huge computer with databases on every single meds produced and even herbal and traditional meds then....

heck, nearly couldnt wake up today to catch the tram. reached about 10 mins before the reporting time which is pretty good since i stopped by hungry jack's for a breakky muffin then to 7 eleven to buy a tram ticket. and i bet i looked like an idiot running to and fro tram stops coz i missed one of my stops and missed tram 70 that was supposed to bring me to teh centre straight. instead, i stupidly (my brain doesnt work that early in the morn i think) took another tram that i got down from halfway and had to stand in the freaking cold for another tram to bring me to the centre. could've just take THAT tram straight. should've, could've, would've. but obviously didn't.... hehe.

still made it there in good time and managed to see natalie there. she wants to do physio i remember. and half the candidates are aussies man. even the asians have aussie accents so that means that they ARE lcoals or they just studied here like... i don't know, half their lives?? so its darn initmidating man to see them so confident and so fast when answering....geez....

no, must have self confidence, mel...

hehe...

off to do my homework that's been piling up for weeks and days....

mel's list to do:
1) HOI essay- actually finish research and start on draft
2) EAP mini oral plan - actually decide which article i'm going to do and not go back and forth on 3 articles
3) actually know what acid and base chapter in chem means
4) actually DO my maths 1A homework and understand what it means and not blindly follow the examples
5) actually revise my bio chapter 3 about RNA and understand it
6) actually concentrate on my yearbook (my baby!!)

man, the list is already making me dizzy with the effort....

wait, i missed out one more...

7) actually find people for the auction

and just thought of another one...

8) organise my hair clips and accerssories

and yet another one...

9) vacuum my room'
10) check out fitnss first
11)do a bit of reading...i feel so darn rusty and 'dry' from not reading good books.... darn it...

so much to do, so little time...

better get off the net...like NOW!!

sigh....

life goes on...

losing control part 2

term 3 is underway again and as i said before for term 2, it sucks and rocks at the same time...

much as i am incoherant some of the time, i really DO think that term 3 has ups and downs man...

like the hoi essay i'm doing, blaaaah.....its so darn hard and so darn wearisome but what the heck, hoi essay is compulsory and its dealing with a modern art movement that influenced politics, social context etc. well, the research and plan part of it is tough but the subject is quite cool i think...

anywayz, yearbook is getting on pretty well but katyana and gloria left the committee so its like double work for all of us now...

well, good luck to me then....

geez, it's only the 3rd day back at school and it's been crazy. it's great to see friends n all but work has been piling up like crazy/ it's gonna be one loooooooong semester man. it's like 24 hours of work for me daily man. so many essays and assignments. not to mention homework and also my yearbook editorial work. hmmm.... don't know whether i'll be able to survive till the end of term lah....

well, yet again i find myself at changi airport, ready to board my flight to melb.

yep, the mid term break is over for me and term 3 about to start and itz gonna be harder than ever...

still, its good to be back in college....days spent idling and lazing away is soooo NOT my style loh....hehe.... not tha ni actualli like doing all those HOI and EAp essays...still, its better than letting my brain rot away...

so all in all, its like a brain booster, this mid term break...

had a great time man....

cool.....

things have been pretty much like a rollercoaster for me this holidays...

but mostly highs than lows....

coz its just good to be back and see everyoen again...

not to mention, relatives who think you've been starving to death over in melb and love to take the chance of feeding the "poor lil dear" with m'sian food...hee.... that part IS the best...

not taht m saying m such a greedy little pig but still you know a little foood now and then (edible food that is...) is well... GOOD.....

hehe, makes me wanna come back more often...

i think i should start working on a proposal to convince my dad that me coming home for the holidays more often is conducive for my studies and that he would misss my company very much....

hmmmm...

that angle should work....
